I`m afraid there is very little you can do apart from wearing big old hearing device thingymajigs which counteract it,most people don`t bother.they say having them washed out can damage the eardrum

At that age, it could be an early symptom of BIH (some docs still unaware of this but it is increasingly common amongst women at that sort of age, apparently).

Cut back on smoking & coffee it works for me. I also take aspirin to reduce my bp. Ask a doctor first though.
