The first ever ATM stolen by use of a JCB was from Gillingham.

I think it was from a row of shops at the top of Ash Tree Hil (?)

That was back in the early 70s.

Subscribe to a UK facing VPN and pay £9.99 a month. The UK facing VPN is essential for UK telly, both live and catchup through the likes of bbc i player. I have hooked my laptop up to the telly and hey presto, not great pictures but deffo watchable.

Along with family and friends, I miss going to watch the toffees, going racing and ermmmm....
There are a lot of positives where I am, and 'have job will travel'.

www.hidemyass.com

a vpn from here will cost you £7pm. Follow the instructions to set up, once you have it will appear your computer is in the UK. You can then access UK TV through the internet and RacingUK will cost you a further tenner (assuming you can pay with a card registered to a UK address).

You will need a lead from your pc or laptop to your tv and it is easy enough to set your tv as a second monitor to replicate what is on your pc/ laptop.

Just dosent seem right having xmas in the middle of summer.

I do actually miss the long winter nights too. Nothing better than being in a warm cornish pub with an open fire blazing in winter.

Again it feels odd going out drinking in daylight

do other countries lack supermarkets?
Report The Snake November 15, 2009 10:14 AM GMT
Australia only really has Coles and Woolworks and a few Aldi stores. These stores have a monopoly so the prices are not as good as they could be. The choice ok, but not a good as UK supermarkets.

How many have UK got? about 8 supermarket chains? Huge selection and great prices as there is a lot of competition. Great for the consumer

I like reading these threads ,but isn't a country great/better according to your own circumstances ?

I n other words ,if youre a shelf stacker in London ,a move to highly paid exciting job in Spain would always make that country seem a lot better ?
Report punterfleecer November 15, 2009 12:45 PM GMT
am not sure if that example is applicable?

you can say another country is better cos of the weather?

anyway I like it here in the united kingdom, it's a great country

I could never ever move to USA cos Betfair is banned there which makes it one of the worst countries in the world to live in
