This week, I am mostly reading "Last Post" by Max Arthur - conversations with the few remaining WWI veterans. Talked with 21 veterans in 2005, since when 17 have passed on.
And, fiction-wise, To Kill a Mockingbird. Found it slow going for the first 60 pages or so, which surprised me considering its reputation.

The Simon Barnes book, which is good but not great, and John Feinstein's account of a year behind the scenes with the Baltimore Ravens, which is a cracker.

Not read the book, but when I was over in bangkok 2 years ago, I went to the 'bangkok hilton' to visit the lads mate, 'trevor' - who was a friend of Johns (the lad the book is about). John is my mates cousin.Trevor was (is) a great lad and a pleasure to meet him, he done a lot of work for charity, while in the prison, and is larger than life. He was released last year last i heard. John on the other hand, after his sister petitioning for years to get him out, and eventually got him the kings pardon, turned his back on his sister when he got out, and was totally ungrateful. That is prob why i havent read the book.

Somehow, I seem to have 3 books on the go at the mo!:
Ring of Fire - Simon Hughes. My "bog book"; an account of LFC in the 00s. Very enlightening, but probably only for reds.
Race of a Lifetime - Heilemann and Halperin. Account of the 2008 US election. Cracking
Child 44 - Tom Rob Smith. Easy to digest thriller for when I want to read for 5 minutes before sleep.
