Buy them online after you've got your prescription. You can get acuvue for about £6 per month (about £20 in most opticians).

getlenses.com annie, i get bausch and lomb dailies fron them about £17 per month in 9 month batches, all you need is a lenses check from your optician and they do the rest.

I get mine dirt cheap on there. Optician was charging me £85 for a 6 month supply, which I get online for £27.50.
