There's a big pub on the bottom of the High Street called the hogs head.
It has 6-7 largescreen tv's and the food ther is ok. It is a bit chavvy in the sense that a few younger folk hang out there but on the whole its ok. On the lower High Sreet there's a pub called the frog and fiddle that is also great for sport. Lots of TV's and they do some good beers. Thirdly there's a pub 50 yards past the Hogs Head that is probably best. A dozen or so TV's and it's a bit more friendlier and less hectic than the other two. Food very good aswell. http://www.completely-cotswold.com/chelt/pubs/restorat/restorat.htm Here's the link. |

Cd we used this Spanish restaurant a couple of times last year during the festival and really enjoyed it. We walked straight back to it after the racing, no reservation, table for 5/6 no problem. It was like an oasis, chilled quality lager, decent food and great place to discuss the days events.

The Newt in Brum has plenty of large TVs showing footy, and its bang there at New St Station, just go up escalators into shopping arcade and turn left and its on the ramp.

Where are you staying in Gloucester?
:) |
|
By:
I can field this one!
Best place for watching sport in Gloucester (centre) is probably The Varisity. It's on Northgate Street right in the centre, easily found. Decent choice of beer and plenty of good quality screen. Reasonably cheap too - also 2 minutes away from The Regal (Weatherspoons) for cheap grub. |
|
By:
Chambers is also reasonably good - next door to Weatherspoons. Pool tables etc in there too.
|
|
By:
Taylor's just off the high st has a couple of big screens.
will deffo have the football on |
