you have to be arrogant to be willing to face 17 stone of pure muscle on a regular basis

Exactly.

Good on him. What is wrong with a bit of razzamatazz as long as you can back it up. Audley take note.

I agree with SJ.

The guy is putting out a good message too

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/more-sport/boxing/2009/11/10/secret-of-my-success-not-having-a-roll-in-the-haye-115875-21810314/

I think we all agree that most kids today just have no idea. Sitting on their wiis, whacking off, no goals
going out and abusing the elderly etc. As we can't kill them all, we need role models for them

This guy is at least a start. I like his work hard, make sacrifice, don't-worship-consumerism message

my son flew out for the cotto fight this morning and heard David will be out there.Got in touch with Haye last night on twitter(whatever that is) and asked if he could have his picture taken with him,Haye told him it would be a pleasure.
the bloke is down to earth and deserves everything he gets.

to be a boxer you have to be**y/arrogent/full of it

in boxing its what seperates the best from the rest

the**y ones get inside thier opponents head before the fight has even got started

I'm thinking of getting into boxing.

I quite fancy myself to rumble a few feathers in the super middleweight division by 2014.

I not keen on people with the mouthy attitude, people should always respect others, no doubt if you are a boxer or a lollipop man :^0

have you not seen 99% of fighters after the fight, most are top blokes
By:

Most boxers are genuine people.

All the trash talk is just to get interest in the fight which equals more people paying for it and greater ticket sales.

Most boxers i have met aren't nice people. Boxing gyms have always been breeding grounds for criminals from my experience.

well i have been involved with local boxing club for a good 30+ years and i can say with hand on heart, most of the lads we have had through the years have turned out ok(well better than that) and still respectful when they meet us now, along with holding doors open for people.thats not to say you dont get the odd wrong 'un

good on you sj.

i used to go to this gym in St Albans (not a boxing gym) i just used the running
machine, everyone seemed to be into crime of some sort they were always talking
about it in the changing rooms and that. Different in the gyms i've been to in Luton cos they'e full of moslems all talking about god and that. I've known a few people that were into their boxing and they've all been wronguns. Maybe some gyms are notorious for it and others not. keep up the good work.

david haye coming across well here imo, seems sound as a pound

Agree totally with sj. I spent much of my early life around boxing clubs and if anything it gave some of the lads, who could have been naughty, a purpose. There should be a heck of a lot more boxing clubs around.
