i was at a party the other night and most adults were obsessed with this show and preceeded to spend most of the night talking about it with the same level of heated debate normally reserved for decalrations of war or devaluation of the pound.

What example does it set for children to think that all there is to care about in life is whether some dopey twins deserved to be kept in a singing contest more that some ten a penny singer (who inceidentally is not even singing their own songs)
