I was given one of these yesterday but it has no instructions in the box.

It's supposed to charge phones, car batteries etc.

My car battery is as flat as a pancake and I have no 'jump leads' According to the box, it recharges a car battery in 10 to 15 minutes, and you don't need 'jump leads' or to get your pretty little hands dirty.

I did as I was told by my brother in law, plugged it in to charge it up over night. Then plugged it into the cigarette lighter in my car, this morning, turned on the igniton, and left it over 20 minutes.

I didn't even get a light on the dashboard. :(

It has 3 buttons on the top, but no writing, only symbols which I can't see properly.

Has anybody got one of these power packs, and if so, can they tell me what function the buttons perform ?

I shall be back after a smoke and a cuppa.

Thank you in advance for the common sense, comedy and expected abuse.

Google is your friend.

Put in the model number followed by 'instruction manual'. There are plenty on the net, hopefully your model is amongst them.

Also mabe try the Black and Decker web site.

Black Decker Thread?

Is this a thinly veiled "I hate Desmond Dekker" thread?

Online instruction manual found :)

Okay chaps - problem sorted.

Brother-in law-said it was ready to use, but it wasn't charged.

It's on charge now, and as it takes (up to)15 hours, it will be ready to use by 3-30 a.m. tomorrow.

I will NOT, repeat, NOT, be using at at that time.

A full update of events will occur after I get up, have a cuppa, a few WEETABIX and a cigar.

If I haven't posted by noon, I'm dead. :(

Send the whip round to Paddy Mayne, he will need it more than me :)

Still alive :)

Bastid thing beeped so loud at 3-40 a.m. that it woke me up. :(

Fully charged now, but having read the website again, it's designed for batteries that have low power, not flat batteries.

Mine's a pancake. :(

I shall venture out into the cold and see what happens.

If I'm not back in 30 minutes, send out the frogmen.

'Comments have been disabled for this video'

'Can't sing, but dresses like a slapper to sell records to her teenage fans'

Would have been my comment.

Her dad's not Cyril I take it. :)

Press button 4, the unit will beep once, flash green, and begin to boost your battery. The light will go solid green when it is finished. This should take 10 minutes.

Please note that is some vehicles the ignition will have to be turned on.

Ignition on or off, it keeps beeping and is not charging my battery. :(

Heavy duty jump leads haver been ordered. :(

My battery is not dead, just flat.

It has only done short trips lately and not enough charge has gone back in.

Battery is less than 2 years old.

This is only the third battery the car has had in its 15 year life.
