Condolences Clarky.
As hard as it is to bear at the moment, take some comfort that he didn't suffer for very long. |
|
By:
No worries larrence. This little community of ours has a lot of good people on it, an eclectic bunch for want of a better word.
|

To true slippy. We all need to stay strong in these hard times, and always be there for each other if we can. Life is so precious and if we can pick people up when they need it, that it what life is all about m8.

Clarky9 ..sorry to hear your sad news..
-------------------- because you seem very very close to him , I think this will happen to you clarky ..when it does at least you will know why , out of the blue one day you will suddenly for no apparent reason start to be really upset ,and the noise coming from you will be like a wounded animal....you will not want to do it , you will have no control over it , but when it happens remember it hits most people that way ...its the grief coming out of you ..it will last minutes and then it will be gone ...it is normal ... |

I know exactly how you are feeling, as I'm sure do many of us. The first major loss in our lives is always difficult to deal with and they don't get easier. The grief you are feeling now won't go away, but it will get easier to live with.
Try and do something positive to contribute to his funeral arrangements. Consider writing and delivering a eulogy. Find a really special photograph and frame it. Just writing down how you are feeling right now will help you. Talk to your Mum and all those who loved him too-you aren't alone.Talk about him, and continue to in the months ahead as it will help you preserve his memory and bring you comfort. Most important of all is this. Live your life. Do all the things you would usually do and don't feel guilty for enjoying what you usually enjoy. Your Dad wouldn't want you to wallow in misery. Life is for living and we owe it to the dead to do just that. |
