Signs on all five windows, reassuringly knocked up on Microsoft Word Art (Rainbow effect of course...), informing potential buyers of the price and length of remaining MoT. Park it in Tesco car park first thing on a Saturday morning, beside the main car park road, where people will see it going in and out. You want maximum exposure. Doing it this way avoids having to pay fees to put it in the local paper. If no phone calls have been made, take it back the next day, or try Asda. The buyer will soon come imo.

how much to get through mot? Is it a wreck?

"Five windows" I said. Don't know why. One on each side so people see it from all angles.

how much to get through mot? Is it a wreck? It's in good nick, but things are starting to go wrong with it: a new exhaust 18 months ago, then a new clutch five months ago. I want to get shot of it before something else goes wrong. It passed its MoT first time last year, but it's time for a new car. I paid £5k for it in March 2003 and I've done almost 99,000 miles in it, so I've got my money's worth. |

I live a few miles west of London and I'd be open to any offers!
The car still goes great - I flew down the motorway to work this morning - but it's time to get shot. I honestly don't know what will happen with the MoT: it could pass it first time (as it did last year), but it could cost a fair few bob. Incidentally, it also needs a good clean as it's covered in dog hairs after more than six years of ferrying my dogs around! |

Max.
wouldnt you be best to just wahck in in for the MOT to see what it fails on ? |
|
By:
and clean it?
|
|
By:
Coach - I was thinking of that. If it's gonna cost a bomb to repair, what have I lost: £50 for the MoT?
|
|
By:
also , if it does fail on a fair bit there will always be some enthusatic young mechanic round who would like a wee 'project' and pay you a bit in the meantime .
forget auctions btw ...complete rip off |

I'm from Wigan originally, but work has brought me down here. Anyway, I'm not sure if I could have sold it to someone from Leigh. It means too much to me... |

By:
Park it in Liverpool and phone the insurance, it'll be gone by before they pick-up.
|
|
By:
Stick it on ebay - I've sold three cars on there so far & never had any bother
|
|
By:
The MoT will have expired by the time you decide how to sell it.
It's not rocket science FFS, just sell it man. |
