Hard to meet any true Festival Fan that has not endured the highs and lows of this meeting.

While struggling to remember what I had for tea a few days before, many of the punting stories here are etched in the memory bank.

Of course it may involve the odd aftertime, goes with the territory.

The Bad.

Back in 2018 it came to the Friday, well and truly down on the week, confidence was lower than a snakes belly.

Fancied a couple of Skeltons in the County,h,cap hurdles were becoming his thing.

As the race time approached, the outsider of his pair kept giving me that look.

Race was completely open,so I decided to back him in reverse forecasts with the 10 outsiders on the tote, for a spanner.

Somehow Mohaayed managed to get up to win,33/1 but much bigger on here.

As the result flashed up,the second Remiluc returned 50/1 sp,hold on I thought .... the Forecast.

Usain Bolt speed to my account ..... You can guess the rest.

The one horse I had missed out was number 9 .... Remiluc.

The Exacta paid £3,247

Ouch, sometimes it does not matter what you do,the racing Gods will not play ball.
