move the weakest day ,the wednesday to the saturday.
move tuesday to wednesday.keep gold cup friday.
gold cup always sold out,the saturday would sell out aswell.
tuesday will hold its own still if on wednesday.
midlands national to the sunday.
they could then sneak a non festival card in on the tuesday for those already down there,mid grade hcps ,specialised races not covered by the festival,which would probably get 30/40 k there anyway,thus realising their dream of a 5 day festival without it being a 5 day festival.

Hmmm. I think the Wednesday is the second strongest day, and the most interesting day.
Supposedly, Saturday has the problem that it clashes with the 6 Nations and that makes it hard to get staff and caterers. The idea of the extra non-festival card is interesting though, albeit Warwick already has a card that day and is only about 30 miles. |

At the leger today,
Told people,initial kick back was. Rugby Premier league Dilution of weak festival anyway. So to push back on all the Debbie downers . Ok.move the Thursday to Saturday. Bring first race forward ,30 mins,last race 5.15 So rugby,footy can start 5.30. On track a sell out,so it’s just tv viewers issue. The Tuesday. 3hhcp hurdles,3 hcp chases. All the horses balloted out of the 6 hcps at the festival. So no dilution to the quality of the festival. The festival marketed as its usual 4 day product. The one day stand alone meeting,marketed has a one off chelt race day.but with it being the horses balloted out of festival,there’s a nod and a wink,to the connection to the festival. Not one horse that runs on this day could of run at the festival,so no one can moan about dilution So not only do they get a fifth day,they increase the 4 days attendance aswell. Plus any issues with toilets,bars,logistics can be tested on the quieter Tuesday and rectified over night for the festival on the now new Wednesday. Cannot see any downside to this, Stratford happy Monday. Think uttoxetorr might be better on the Sunday. Who would watch a days festival racing more. A Thursday when everyone in work. Or a Saturday,even competing with rugby and footy. Love to hear off anyone who can stand up an arguement against this ,apart from,but errr,butt aaah,whatever,err ,joke. |

Yeah ,turning some into hcps,stops the 7 odds on shots.
So now they’re be 5. My idea,didn’t alter anything,just a chess move. The extra low level hcp day ,wouldn’t affect the festival at all. |
