marine national the hot fav and last years impressive supreme winner will be tough to beat but he is short enough and has just the 1 chase run and he just looks too short for me.facile vega has drifted to around 10/1and of the 2 he would be my pick at the prices  but was turned over last time, but forgive that and he hasnt got that much to find with marine national on last seasons supreme form .QUILIXIOUS  jumped well and picked up nicely at naas last week and was a good winner ,the step back to 2m suited and henry said post race "he has gears and a high cruising speed and the arkle at the festival looks the way to go could take in the irish arkle at leopardstown .3 chase runs 2 wins and didnt stay the 3m in the 2nd of those .ticks a few boxes and 25/1 with skys if ya get on wi them 20s books looks fair ew .good luck opinions encouraged.
SELECTION QUILIXIOS 25/1 SLYS 20S GENERAL EW . also had a saver on facile vega at 10s .

Marine Nationale could well hose up, but is very short for what he's done so far. There must be a bet against him at this stage, but I'm struggling to find it. The big surprise is Mullins' relative weakness in this division given that he usually has a hotpot, and he is very strong in the 2 1/2m+ novice chase division. Facile Vega might still run in this, but surely he needs further.

Hunters Yarn has looked quite good in his chases so far, aside from throwing in one stinking jumping error in each. However, his races appear weak, and he's not entered for the DRF.

If Mullins wanted to have a right go at MN then he should run GW in the Arkle, we know about the jumping and the tightness of the track but GW does have that wow factor about him and it wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world for it to work out. Mullins isn't going to win an Arkle with FV but he could win a Turner's with him, so does he want both in that race, different owners may make it more awkward, but a speculative bet on GW would be my thought on it and BD bombing yesterday wouldn't have hurt that play also.

have cashed out the facile vega bet ......turners may be where he goes and can always go in later if the arkle is  confirmed.

If Facile Vega goes for the JLT will Gaelic Warrior be there too or will the latter be rerouted to the RSA? Gaelic Warrior will be very unlikely here either given Townend cannot ride two horses in the same race eg El Fabiola and Gaelic Warrior.

impossible123 I can 100% guarantee you that Paul Townend will not be riding El Fabiolo in the Arkle.........WinkWinkWink

Sorry, that was a cross-line. I meant Facile Vega and Gaelic Warrior running in the JLT.

Hasn't the Facile Vega bubble burst yet? I know Mullins loves him, I'm not sure Townend does. And Mullins has so many good horses, he can't keep them all apart at the Festival.

The JLT looks the right race for GW, simply because it's the one run on the New Course, which will put much less emphasis on his tendency to jump right. He's only been beaten twice since he moved to Mullins, and they were his two races on the Old Course at Cheltenham.

Il Est Francais has been entered for The JLT. If turning up will shortie fav GaeliC Warrior do a runner?

Won't run but if it did I think it might be a thought to look for something to pick up the pieces late on because it would be likely pretty hectic up front.Shocked

If the French 2024 King George fav turns up for the JLT I think Gaelic Warrior (GW) will do a runner given the propensity of the latter to jump slightly right at each fence. Then GW would more likely to do the RSA rather than face Marine Nationale here over 2m.

Nevertheless GW will run at Cheltenham despite failing twice on the track when fancied.

A disappointing run from Marine Nationale in Ireland. He's out to 3/1 from 4/5, but Facile Vega would stay at this distance, according to Mr Mullins; Gaelic Warrior into 2/1 - the game has started again.

After writing FV off at this distance along with most barring Mullins and with the race now having been thrown up in the air I think today has given FV a reprieve at this distance.

Compared to the later listed chase over the distance the arkle horses were miles behind for most of the race and when they picked up late on FV got tapped for toe again, but then stuck on again.

He's a stayer and I think Mullins plan for the Arkle itself will be to gun him from the front and make his own pace and guarantee a strong gallop, this will see him in his best light and for the first time, the 10's looks decent.

JPR One still the value. Only one poor run on heavy and one fall when he would have won easily from his 4 chase runs.

I've ventured into where most have retreated. I've succumbed to the backable price of 3/1 for Marine Nationale. Just over 5 weeks to find out.
