That was quite a performance from Gaelic Warrior 1st time over fences. His jumping (apart from a couple) was good for a novice. He injected a bit of pace 6 out, and put distance between himself and the chasing pack; he won with Townsend looking between his legs over the last two fences.
I'd see Gaelic Warrior as a future King George horse. My only surprise was the suggestion by Mr Mullins the horse could be kept at 2m 4f; the horse won a Gd 1 hurdle over 3m at Punchestown. I thought the Brown Advisory (RSA) would be the ideal race for him next March at Cheltenham.

Undercooked or regressed? His jumping was a bit sketchy on a few. I think 3/1 post the defeat is very skinny, and no doubt a reflection of the highest regard bookies have for his trainer.

Looks like the big staying chases could be a bit of a cr8p shoot this season, L'homme Presse must deserve a shout at 20's, may get a prep in the Tingle Creek of all races, but was a good winner of the RSA and he gives the impression that he wants the extra distance in a GC, ran really well in the KG where the track didn't suit jumping out to his left the whole way or by not getting his own way up front he was still finishing his race off well enough when he was done by the quicker horse before the unseat.
It's a little bit of out of sight out of mind with him but as soon as he runs and we can assume all is well I will back him at his price, although I'd expect it to be trimmed a bit as people remember him again.

I agree Duffy - he looked like the GC C&D would suit him well. The question about him is will he be as good after his injury - many are not. However, if he is back to his best, he must have a big chance.
