I know that conditions have changed, but for the first 20 years of my attendance at Cheltenham, opposing the Irish favourite for this race was essential strategy. I remember one year the fav was only a 6yo with little chase experience. I think it got half way round the first circuit. Sadly the old adage of backing the best novice hunter chaser no longer applies.

A very competitive Supreme and Ultima. The Arkle was always going to be between 2 and the CH was an exhibition.

Another cracker. Happy to see Honey win but Love Envoi ran a blinder. Bookmakers queueing up to jump off Cleeeve Hill.
