Don’t see no value in Constitution Hill money on, so going for an each way play this year. So it is Vauban each way for me.

My cert of the meeting is Home by the Lee, but not much of a price now, although Teahupp did run well today.

With cut in the ground, Paisley looks well clear to me. My biggest fancy is Jonbon although the price is not attractive and novice chasers are only 1/5 to get round. Henderson is not having a great season but Constitution Hill and Jonbon look in a different class to anything else in GB or Ireland. If CH was injured, I would rate Jonbon the best hurdler as well.

Jonbon is certainly not "in a different class to anything else in GB or Ireland."

Whats he beat over fences ? BOOTHILL ? Tommies Oscar just did that !

whats he beat from ireland over hurdles ?  EL FABIOLA
"Just holding 2nd close home" + a few others not all that

You might be right about CH but he may not get there and its no price

Jonbon beaten once in his career by CH and if you read the result, he ran most of the Supreme on 3 shoes. In every other race apart from Aintree he has been unextended. Look at the Kennel Gate last year. Knappers Hill among others beaten very easily.

" he ran most of the Supreme on 3 shoes"

Never heard that before, where did you get that information. The vet reported after the race that he had three shoes , nothing about when he lost the missing one .

So beating el Fabiolo was not so shabby after all! I backed El Fab today on the strength of the Aintree form. Won easily despite a bad mistake.
Report KevLoaf February 5, 2023 10:16 PM GMT
So who do you fancy in the Arkle? Jonbon or El Fabiolo?
Report sageform February 6, 2023 3:41 PM GMT
Jonbon at the moment but he is due to run at the weekend so we will find out if he is in the same form. El Fabiolo now looks the biggest danger but his jumping looked suspect on Saturday.
Report brandyontherocks February 6, 2023 7:31 PM GMT
I very much doubt they will run Jonbon on that ground. Will be like concrete come Saturday.

Last years Supreme -

Tracked leader, joined leader after 5th, disputing lead when left in lead 3 out, headed and pushed along 2 out, ridden and outpaced on turn before last, soon no chance with winner, lost shoe (vet said gelding had lost his left hind shoe)

No idea why irishone hadnt 'heard of that before'
Report irishone February 24, 2023 9:37 PM GMT
as i thought ....no definitive time given when the horse lost its shoe

so how come you say "he ran most of the Supreme on 3 shoes"
Report cobra sam February 28, 2023 4:13 PM GMT
ill stick my neck on the block and say Camprond in the coral cup...

Editeur De Gite at 11/2 looks real value to win Champion Chase.

Beat both horses at the front of the betting last time out. Excellent record this season. Cheltenham winner whats not to like?
