Very little value at the moment. Probably need to wait till mid/end of Nov to get any real clues.
Only 2 horses that look potentially big to me are Allaho 11/8 as can’t work out any horse of note that would take him on.
The other is A Plus Tard at 4/1. His performance last year was nothing short of spectacular and even if Galopin takes him on I think he sets a very high bar.

Therefore I’m backing Allaho 11/8 and A Plus Tard 4/1 in a double and hopefully that will look good value come March.

Anyone spotted anything yet ?

Just added Stage Star at 40/1 with Slybet for the Turners who were slow to adjust after his impressive win over West Cork.

The two early punts I have taken are;

Mighty Potter, Turners at 12/1.
Gerri Colombe, RSA at 33/1

Don't normally get involved this early to be honest.

Added Zarak the Brave at 25/1 and 12/1 to portfolio. Thanks TTF.

Upping Ante starts today. Wonder if it’s as good without Gavin ?

Was there a falling out between the two of them?? as Jennings couldn't even bring himself to mention his name, didn't address him leaving at the start of the show and later on referred to Lynch as my former colleague.

Knew lynch would be dropped from up the ante.too logical put too much knowledge in.stealing Jennings spotlight.
They just want it light hearted bit of banter type show, the look on Jennings face when gav says. I got my stopwatch out,

Do people take these horseracing charlatans seriously with the opinions? I do not listen to any of their chit-chat; they remind me of paid tipsters tipping every runner in the race.

I liked Gavin Lynch.
Definitely knows his stuff and interesting to listen to.

Wish him luck in his new venture.

Allaho 13/8 now for the Ryanair.

Mullins said he would be happy to go straight their if he couldn't get a run into him.

13/8 isnt a great bet imo - probably about 4/6 to even get there let alone win the race. However way you want to look at it the fact that Allaho has missed it's intended engagement is a massive negative at this point if your betting ante post. Going to Cheltenham without a run as well would also be another massive negative in my book.

I think 6/4 is a good price for Allaho in The Ryanair. He's the present holder; beat CDO with tremendous ease. I'm not a fan of his trainer, but at least this time he cannot do a Vautour.

Can I have 'evens' with a run for The Ryanair?

Allaho would have been fav or close to it in the King George without a run. That could have been a bigger test than the Ryanair looking at the opposition. The vibes were he would have taken a lot of beating if he turned up.

No worries from me going straight to Cheltenham and staying out the slogs around Xmas.

As long as the horse only has had a few niggles then he’s long odds on to make the festival. That is if Mullins is telling us everything Confused

I was very impressed with Banbridge on Saturday. After watching Jonbon win today I’d expect Joseph will have one eye on the Turners for him. Taken 14/1. Might be wrong race but don’t think he’d beat Jonbon after watching that.

I have to agree,I was pleased to see jonbon tire late on after putting the race to bed,so there's a he'll of a lot to work on fitness wise and the jumping was excellent, not saying hendo has found another but its a serious work in progress.
Some will say Willie Henry or Gordon will have something to say about this and they will but jonbon performance is in the bag.
Haven't a h'penny on it or anything else

Sure I recall that last season they thought he would need his first run in the John Durkan?

Said he normally needs a run to get him right.

Definitely would concern me going straight there.

If we see him there that is.

I was also impressed with banbridge on Saturday as I was with him at Gowran park over 2m 4f ,whilst we don’t always appreciate it at the time the Martin pipe has produced many good horses over the years.he won’t be the first horse to disappoint at aintree after running at the festival.

Was pleased with Banbridge’s run in the Irish Arkle. I’ve topped up the 14/1 with 6/1 NRNB as I can’t see him out of the first 3 if he runs there. Strong Cheltenham form as well.

Other NRNB’s I’ve added are Devilscoachman in Brown Advisory, Marie’s Rock Stayers, An Taillur Pertemps lots of times and Penbroke County Hurdle.

Starting to build the portfolio over the next few weeks.

Any value left anywhere ??
