Vauban has speed but varies between fast and slow over the hurdles so 13/8 looks poor value. Pied Piper beat Vauban after not settling on heavy and has good course form. Yet Davy Russell doesn’t want to ride him. He’s on Fil Dor who was put in his place by Vauban. I can’t make sense of that decision but it makes Vauban look the likely winner.
I think Knight Salute is good value. Well bred, serial winner and above all a trier. 18/1 4 places with PP is better value than backing Vauban I think.
