He wasn't exactly shabby last year and his trainer has been known to get a horse right for this meeting.

So you'll be giving this race a complete swerve?

Personally, I would struggle to make a case for Appreciate It even with a run.

I don't think last year's supreme was very good in the slightest with the winning distance boosted with Blue Lord falling at the last. Blue Lord has turned into a good chaser in an average division, Soaring Glory is a graded handicapper, Ballyadam hasn't lived up to the hype and the rest are just well....not very good.

Now, I don't think that Appreciate It is a bad horse, I just don't think he is a Champion Hurdler. To my eye, he has always had the look of a horse who would benefit from going up in trip, rather than being kept at the minimum. I couldn't have him for the Arkle so I am struggling to sell myself on him running well in the Champion Hurdle.

I will most likely try to place lay him and lay him at a shortish price on Tuesday in the hope that he travels strongly for a mile and then gets done for pace and the lack of race fitness. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him upped to 3 miles at Punchestown in April/May.

Most likely I will be wrong, but that's just my take on him.

Good luck this week.

Epatante looks the win and place bet of the season to me.
Have also backed her in the without Honeysuckle market.

I backed him for the champion hurdle after the greatwood foyles,he had a slight setback missing the bula hurdle his intended next run(yard won it with valeramix) I was perfectly happy with his comeback run in the kingwell raced as if just needing the race ,has a good record at Cheltenham albeit his best runs were on the triumph hurdle course.

I would say that it's the exact opposite. Back him to win if you think it has a chance, could quite easily blow out completely given the year off and not give you your money back or fractionally under.
I'm also in the Adagio camp.

Agree with Cauthen. He might easily win but equally easily pull up. The place bet is surely Epatante.

agree just as likely to win as blow out altogether .Certainly not an e/w play.

Cheers foyles still  at home leaving in the morning, yes not long to go and looking forward to the racing like others a little bit concerned about some of the field sizes but no doubt by the end of the festival there will be memories of the racing and the occasion that will last for ever, stating the bleedin obvious but the champion chase the supreme and the bumper look top class.

Good luck with your bets and keep showing imagination.
