Fair enough.it ran a bit faster than cat tiger with the owner David maxwell up top. But all the other races on the ascot card yesterday were quicker by more than standard than shiskin And that’s with energname setting a fast pace.
It’s strange because if shiskin was an heavy rock band it would be the deep purple of its era.
Not only have every horse that it’s beat come out and won. The horses that were beat by shiskin that then beat horses that then won
From eldardo allen. Tarmac du Nathan. Shake em up harry. Shan blu. Greatatean. Chantry house all won after being beaten by shiskin.
Then the horses they beat started to win
All mankind.sporting John.snow leopardess.
The season has unfolded like a family tree. Shiskin at the top then horses beaten by it win. Then horses beaten that were beaten by shiskin won and so on.
So how come it posted the 2nd worst time on the card yesterday. Given energname set a good pace. Is there a chink in its armour.
The frankel of the jumps game may actually be beat one day. In 3/4 years if it’s not 100% it could be conceivable that it might lose.
Unlikely. Yeah. But given its time yesterday it might be possible.

Willie could well swerve Cheltenham now and go the dublin festival \ punchestown route, he has long held the belief that energumene was a two and a half mile chaser. All the hype abput a return wont affect him , only TB will change tack.

Shishkin was not slow *if* you ignore the hurdle races and look only at the chases. Most likely, the chase track was softer than the hurdles course.

Shiskin made errors and still won, would have won by more if it had jumped better.
