The plan is to run in the Boyne Hurdle on 16th Feb at Navan; worked well, but will not be as fit as last year after missing a month's work with a setback.

If he runs - good; if he does not - no big deal either. All these bleating about handicapping, but disregarding it's The Grand National eg horses for courses, and not a normal chase is unnecessary and juvenile, and being disrespectful to the professional handicapper; horse racing is unlike managing a budget airline.

might not run in cheltenham?  keep him fresh for liverpool? just a thought
Report ENGLANDBARNES1 • February 12, 2020 3:36 PM GMT
He has to run in a steeplechase to qualify for the Grand National by March the 16th.
The cross country does qualify as a steeplechase.

STUPID RULE ??? - prior to the race, a horse must run in a steeplechase to qualify for the race..... should have exceptions - for former runners (especially a two time winner ffs).
