a lightly raced improving staying novice trained by henry de b ,runner up to latest exhibition at leop on sunday , seemed to go steady early on and cobblers way was headed at the last by the winner and longhouse poet and looked booked for 3rd on the run in but ran on again after being tapped for toe to finish strongly in 2nd and looking as though further will suit much better the way he fought back after looking booked for 3rd suggests to me that a stamina test will be right up his street ,only had 4 races under rules and a point winner looks to be headed to the spuds race which hdb won with minnela indo a similar lightly raced type last season has 2 lengths to find with latest exhibition but could well turn the tables on that one and is 16/1 general 20s with 365 if you are able ,worth a pop imo at the prices given horses profile and connections ............

I really like this horse. I posted at the very early stages of the Andy Dufresne thread that HDB could be looking at his second AB winner in a row. I wasn’t particularly taking myself seriously at the time and it was actually some time before he even got included in the markets. I didn’t ask him to be included and have regretted it ever since (really poor punting on my part). Once he was I got financially involved. Yes others have more clear claims but he seems to me to be a steady improver and I think the greater test will suit him.
a little boost for cobblers way at thurles today with sempo winning
Cobblers Way lost so much momentum at the last at leopardstown. Could of won with a better jump.
Jumped very well all the way around bar one when he got in tight. Squeezed badly after last. Underrated performance.
After Francin won yesterday, the second, third, fourth and sixth from Cobbler's Way's victory have all bolted up on their only subsequent start. An extremely strong maiden hurdle it turned out to be.
I would echo all the comments from the start of this thread and this is a horse I really like. My only reservations, in terms of the Albert Bartlett, are that, firstly, he looks all the way a chaser and also he has made the running in his last two starts, which would be very difficult to do in an AB.
A "huge, massive horse" according to his trainer, will he be nimble enough at the crucial hurdles? Certainly, the current odds are attractive enough to accommodate the odd doubt. A horse I hope will succeed at Grade 1 level this season but what a prospect for next, over fences, regardless.

I just got interested in Harry senior if he turns up.
He had decent 2 mile form lines as it was, and then improved as expected for being stepped up in trip.
I think 3 miles will improve it further after discovering very similar pedigree to Paisley Park!
The Tizzards sometimes keep a horse back for Aintree in an novice hurdle, so may need to find nrnb.

step up in trip should suit and form from his last win has stacked up . another one i am interested in if he turns up isw run wild fred who won a d3ecent graded race last time beating a hot mullins fav keeping on doggedly after making most of running ,2nd fav for this monkfish was alledgedly running all over this when upsides when this one fell 2 out previously but this one finds and the price gap bewtween the 2 may be misleading ,rwf can be backed at around 20s monkfish single figgas, gordon seemed a little suprised after his win in the graded race and he strikes me as a horse who dont show a great deal at home but delivers on the racecourse ,he also said we may go for a good hurdle race and put him away for next season so dont know if he will go to the festival . whatever nrnb will be the way i am playing 1 point win and 2 gigginstown pokes to go to war with will do for me .
