They showed Stand Up And Fight getting hammered in his latest point on Racing TV this afternoon. Yet his price is unchanged. Are we looking at an even worse renewal than last year?

I thought that was strange the bookies not drifting him the other week also. Did he get beat again or was this the one from two weeks ago?

No, it was the race won by Fenno's Storm. Either something wrong with the favourite or he badly needs a sound surface.

For those interested Elliott said today that Kruzhlinin would be going for the Aintree Foxhunters.

Does anyone who follows the point to point scence have a strong opinion on Hazel Hill he seems to be the best of the British atm. Shantou Flyer may have a squeak if the ground came up very soft or heavy but that looks unlikely atm.

Will some of the British runners be qualified in time? The flu shutdown can't help.

I was at Warwick for the Hazel Hill win but what caught my eye was Mr Mix just popping away and staying on from the back to go second. Looked a practice run for cheltenham and at over 50/1 worth a go each way i what looks an average renewal.

I actually backed Hazel Hill at 6s and Mr Mix at 40s at Warwick and never did the forecast.

I assume the change of mind by the Rooneys means that KRUZHLININ will now be going to Cheltenham, were he will be very hard to beat imo

Kruzhlinin will go to Cheltenham according to the Post but does not look like the right type to me. Mind you, it is mainly about the jockeys. 14/1 here but blue on Oddschecker.

I like Shantou Flyer. He has been working up to fitness on the racecourse, and I don't think he has to have deep ground. He likes Cheltenham, the test of stamina on new course will be right up his street and if there's the usual strong pace that will help him too. All he does is stay these days. He probably put up a career best at last year's festival (just touched off in the Ultima off 152, rated 157 afterwards) and is only 9 so there's no reason to think he can't run to that kind of level again when fully fit and in a suitable race. You don't get many hunters running to 150+ these days.

I am all over Shantou Flyer but I'm a bit concerned by Maxwell trying to buy Road to Rome, why buy the horse now if you've already got a good one?

Anyone backing Shantou Flyer - or Road to Rome if Maxwell purchases him to ride in the Foxhunters - needs to appreciate that the rating of the horse pales when Maxwell’s relative incompetence as a pilot is taken into consideration.

He’s a 10lbs worse jockey than the leading English amateurs and 20lbs below the leading Irish amateurs. That’s a considerable handicap no matter how good the horse he’s riding is.

I fancied Gilgambboa, not running, not read anything as to why

I do not think Gilgamboa was ever entered, though again, I do not know why.

Shantou Flyer not a 150+ horse anymore... That's why it is running in hunters.. Its hunter chase form is very average.. Fit or not.

I've backed HH - form looks very sound.

the look on Alex Edwards face after the race at Warwick was a picture - don't think he's every gone that quickly before.
