Just re watched his last run at Ascot and while I remember he looked the part at the time, it was the most impressive piece of jumping from a novice chaser I've seen this season. He measured his fences beautifully, came up when the jockey wanted and generally made a lovely shape over them.
He's entered at Sandown on Saturday over 2 1/2 miles so surely JLT would be the plan, you wouldn't step a horse up to 3m for the first time going to the Festival would you?

Trainer apparently hasn't given Cheltenham a thought when asked by the RP. Come On Kim you're better than that.

Purely based on feeling I'll admit, but I'd say the RSA would be where he ends up.

Kim is old school and prefers the 'traditional' races. So Charbel went the Arkle and not the JLT and I can see Vinndication (subject to if and how he runs on Saturday) going the RSA

All being well I would also go JLT. He has to prove himself right handed so why throw another unknown into the mix? If something is working why change? I also see the JLT as being wide open. If Vinndication wins again he would probably be near enough favourite.

Ground might play some part in the decision. He is bound to get the dual entry.

Obviously, I should have said left handed.

Very disappointing today although perhaps in hindsight beating Jerrysback wasn't that great a performance.

Far too easy to blame the trip as Hislop immediately did. It was after all testing ground on a stiff track.

In reality the horse was never travelling or jumping from a very early stage. A few of stable's horses have run badly in the last month. Until he got to the rail he was diving right at his fences which would not bode well for Cheltenham, whatever the distance. I do wonder about the idea that it is purely coincidence that he hasn't gone left handed.

As for today's front two I think Lostintranslation will reverse the form on better ground.

I think Defi needs to be running in the Arkle as he looks to be speedy to me, hanging onto him over the longer trip isn't making the most of him, problem is that they have Le Richebourg, I think Defi is a quicker horse though.

Vindication jumps right, Lostintranslation jumps left yet beat him comfortably. No way that form would be reversed at Cheltenham.

RSA

Having resisted the temptation to back Defi for the Arkle so far, I was impressed by how well he finished yesterday compared to Cheltenham so will be holding my bets until a definite plan is in place or I can get nrnb.

I haven't mentioned Vinndication reversing the form.

If you're confused by my post I wasn't replying to anyone just expressing an opinion on Vinndication v Lostintranslation going forward. I couldn't back V in any race at Cheltenham.

Vindication is back in the frame after pleasing Kim Bailey this morning. The video of him schooling this morning has already been viewed by 24,000 people. That made me smile. Cheltenham fever - bring it on Grin
I hope the horse is faster than this forum.

Really poor form from Kim Bailey if you ask me. I hope no one gets stung at the long odds that were matched on here yesterday.
