While Altior's destination is obvious, the only feasible race for Gilgamboa is the hunter chase. Billy's have the best prices on both, 1/2 and 8/1 respectively, yet I have just been to their local shop and been able to top up previous bets, this time on their "to win any race" market at 4/6 and 10/1. Crazy!

I get your drift. I think there could be a very, very slim chance Altior could go Champion Hurdle or Ryanair or Gold Cup; If so, he'll be more than 4/6 for any of them - that's my understanding. But, of the two 4/6 for Altior who is almost a certainty to run in the Champion Chase is good value considering he's only 4/9 for this race.

What the fack sort of drivel are you talking ??

Altior going for the Champion Hurdle, Ryanair or Gold Cup. FFS stepping up from 2m to 3m 2 1/2f, just randomly going back over hurdles or going for the bloody Ryanair.

My god.

Excited

Could just imagine Henderson (via Unibet on Tw@tter obvs) announcing on the Sunday prior to the festival that Brain Power was going to bring his A game to the Champion Chase and Altior would be diverted to the Ryanair.Whoops

Imp123 would lead the meltdown on here...

Well done, Govan - excellent spot irrespective of any outcome.

I believe Gilgamboa is injured and a doubt for the Festival.

To elaborate on that, just remembered it was a Mark Howard update...

Gilgamboa has been hit with a setback and it will be a race against time to get him fit for the spring festivals.

Stand and Fight will win that Foxhunters anyhow. Save the money on Gilgamboa and go in large

Spot on Impossible123.

I’ve heard Altior could even skip Cheltenham for a crack at the Grand National before a tilt at the Greyhound Derby.

Should run Altior on the Tuesday in the Champion Hurdle and Friday in the Gold Cup. He'd be favourite for both.

Altior: Champion Hurdle (tues); Champion Chase (weds); Gold Cup (fri). A full house of victories in one Festival and one week.
