Just about as tricky a race as there is but searching for some value I’ve backed Esprit De Somoza @ 25/1 with Victor.
Looks sure to be suited by a very strong pace and stiff track.

backed Act Of Valour given Nicholls brilliant record in the race, looked really useful at Newcastle and ran a lot better at Mussleburgh after his Doncaster flop.

Also backed Oxford Blu as was told Olly gives him a big chance

i like nicholls french bred malaya in this. trainer and french breds good record in race .

Malaya for me too. Redicean looked like something special to me at Kempton the other day and I thought Malaya ran perfectly respectably against him.

if she ran on saturday, nicholls has a bad record in imperial cup, so think twice about backing it . if didn't run on saturday and went straight to fred winter would probably back her.
