It used to be the old Charisma Gold Cup which heralded the start of the jumps proper. And that really good hurdle in which Absalom's Lady once dead-heated with Large Action.
Now it's this excellent 2-day meet at Chepstow.
Leaves a-falling, nights a-drawing in, Timeform's magnum opus just delivered by the GPO, dewy-eyed and flowery prose (even more so than this nonsense) imminently due from Alistair Down in the Post. Lydia's 'Road To Cheltenham' only weeks away...

When you have hardly had any runners and only a couple of seconds in the last month it must be sweet. Seriously, this meeting throws up some very good horses so she could go on to win some decent mares prizes. |
