NO,Just AntePost betting on it im afraid!!!
By:
Ignore their hyped horses; ignore what they say; never bet theirs antepost unless it is the Bumper race.
By:
No. For once, Mullins is not the problem. JP is -- not even his trainers know what will run where.
By:
I can never understand people on here. WM runs his horses more honestly than most other trainers and he gets abused.

I wish more trainers were like Tizzard !! Every time I see a problem its Walsh Ricci and Mullins sadly all three are on the Pay of bookmakers one way or another and that might be the reason !!

Good man Polly you obviously have looked at the stats.

Yes I'm sure you're correct and I'm wrong but every time I hear walsh and Ricci I get a bad taste in my mouth - I'm a 73 year old female not a man

Nobody can ruin a festival. AP punting is a risk, and we are owed absolutely nothing. Not a good PR season for Mullins, but he has far more important issues. Injuries shuffle packs.
By:
Mullins hasn't ruined it, if you give a stable with his ammunition more races to choose from then this is what you'll get.

They aint ruined it,just seriously affected antepost, but we do have a choice on that matter.
Prices are a lot worse antepost than we have been used to and that is down to people on here getting big prices for some of mullins/Ricci horses early doors last few years,in particular his nov hurdlers. Bookies are wise to this now and antepost prices are much lower. What I do find annoying is changing horses targets near the festival, but that is always likely when one owner has the majority of a trainers best horses. What would help is if connections simply entered a horse in every possible race it could run in as early as is possible. At least that way we wont get Annie Power situations, and we would have had the opportunity to back her just in case. |

What ruined the festival was the move to four days and the introduction of garbage handicaps.

agree with below but with exception of martin pipe as I think its reasonable to have a conditionals race considering there are three amateur restricted races
By:
Not as good as it once was imo

Some guys backed a lot of lovers methinks
Seriously what a bunch of envious ****s ye are. 4 winners today 3 heavily backed. No one has a divine right to win at Cheltenham. Nicholls hasn't been sighted that doesn't mean he has pulled or any tricks. It's hard racing. |
By:
You're right that AP is not what it was, with multiple targets. I've now changed my AP philosophy for horses who could multi target.
Back them in Any Race market instead If that price is small, don't back them AP at all. Wait unti NRNB markets open up and back every horse you fancy, that looks long odds NRNB for the races you think they could win, if they ran A fair few bets refunded, when they don't run. But good odds on the races they do run in. Much better for the pocket, than long range punts where they don't run, don't hold there form, and your bets blown. |

Honest post ^^ with no bias, everyone wants to see competitive racing no matter who the trainer or jockey may be and for the prestbury cup both English and Irish racegoers cheer good horse's no matter where they have came from, ante post betting is a choice you make, you may have found value but there are risks envolved and no trainer is at fault it's your choice, they don't owe punters anything, take the CH & SH this week from November betting on both only 2/3 from 1st 10 in betting appeared in their races,no one has said much about NJH switching his CH winner from the JLT,but last year WPM switching ANNIE everyone was up in arms.yes ANNIE was supplemented but the grade 1's do have this stage.

sport in most forms have changed out of all proportion .
remember the days when it was an offence for a bookmaker to encourage anyone to have a bet ..now as a Worldwide gambling .Emporium we have what we see on a daily basis .. find it hard to fathom out the reasons to have 140 options on a football match .. .most sports are similar to many to highlight on here but we all know it needs a regulator of sorts .. finished with ante post . as of now as still good on the day often bigger price and no need to do homework .. or guesswork what the future will bring .. on the day .. on plus side .. numbers keep growing to watch both as at event .. or armchair viewing . ?? more than ever attended .. Cheltenham it would appear .. on last 4 days very much an IRISH BONANZA .. Deserved as the horses were much better .. UK ....TAKE A BACK SEAT AGAIN .. Not one great animal born in or trained ON the GREAT BRITISH SOIL ?? GRASS much healthier in ALL OF PASTURES OVER THE WATER ...?? .to CROWN IT ALL ........ STUFFED AT RUGBY ............TO BOOT .. |

Which day was profitable for punters. It was Thursday and which trainer trained the winners that day - and all were roared home by UK and Irish punters alike. Its near impossible to make money punting if ones mind is pumped to the hilt with bias.
