I think he's a bit under rated. Very likeable, so i backed him for the rsa at 20/1, only to then notice he was 31/1 on the machine. I think there's a decent bunch in this division, so we will just have to see what happens. Obviously they have alpha, but i'd like to think he could at least give him a race in the drinmore.

Why did he bomb out in the neptune? Does he need soft ground?

He goes well on soft. I'd like to think he'd be effective on a decent surface. The trainer didn't even include him in his 5 to follow, and doesn't seem overly enthusiastic about the horse. The vibes aren't there, so i guess there isn't a great deal to say right now.

I looked at the horse again. Whilst i think there's improvement there, i reacted too quickly. Unfortunately we can't remove threads on here. I'm gonnae let this thread drift away. Apologies.

I looked through the RSA last night and went through nearly every possible runner. A Toi Phil was my clear pick.

Nearly every contender has had a second season of hurdling, and they never win the RSA. Which this year makes it interesting as so many major fancies will have to bomb to keep the run going, and there aren't many going from novice hurdles to novice chasing in defence of the record, but I will keep opposing them anyway.

He's taken to chasing well and entered for the Drinmore Chase this weekend at Fairyhouse. He is 2/1 fav with Paddies, others could include Diamond King and Alpha Des Obeaux, a pretty hot contest.
