I know it's early doors... but it finally feels like the jumps season has arrived. And I think this horse is long overdue his own thread 
This fella did me a huge favour at the Festival last year, and I think he could end up a high class beast. Most of PN's horses ran like they were all pretty under cooked today, yet I thought Diego oozed class and made pretty light work of a decent field.
Have no idea what his target might be, but I will be following I'm closely all season. Think he is one of those horses who just does enough but can keep finding more. Really think he looks top class.

I wouldn't knock his performance, but I've always vowed never to get carried away with the form of that Chepstow meeting (or meetings as they used to be). So often, its the fittest that prevails, not necessarily the best and horses can look very impressive when they're only beating horses having prep runs.
As for top class, he won off 138. Possibly a top handicap in him but very surprised if there's more than that.

Bit harsh to crab a 4 year old with only three starts in this country, on account of his rating cyclops. Take your point about the Chepstow meeting , but PN said he was nowhere near fully fit either so I think there will be plenty more to come.
At the end of the day he's had three starts, two wins, one of which was at the Cheltenham Festival on debut. I don't think he enjoyed the going at Aintree and also could have bounced.
I think he is a lovely scopey indicidual and he looks a nailed on Garded horse to my eyes.

I'd also add that I don't think we will see the best of him until he goes over fences.
I'd be tempted to try him in the Elote Hurdle myself.
Hopefully goes for the Greatwood would be a massive player, I could easily see him finish the season as 150 rated hurdler
Altior didn't do too badly after winning at the same meeting last year.

Very surprised to see he's as big as 6/1 Jedi. I think he's the best horse in the field and he has the advantage of a run already. Decent ew bet for me today.
laid off my win stake at shorter,disapointing run ccm,was not impressed by ride at all,he was also v poor on saphir in next...
Not sure you can blame the jock for such a bad run. Very disappointing. Surely something amiss.
Ran too free whole way,too much daylight,no attempt to get cover,settle him down,just tank along missing hurdles,was never going to get home..hope something comes to light though,One of PN few disappointments on day!
