Clerk of the course at Chepstow just said on ATR (12.10) that he spoke to Colin Tizzard who will be aiming Thistlecrack at the novice chase their on the opening weekend (8th October)....

A fantastic two day fixture preceded by an excellent days racing at Newton abbot on the Friday stick Ludlow Wednesday and Hereford Thursday you get yourself 5 days great sport.

Regarding thistlecrack good idea to get him chasing early in the season if things don't work out he can then revert to hurdles and follow the same route as last season.
