What does "Free bet amount will be bet stake minus total winnings. If winnings exceed total stake, no free bet will be granted." mean please ? Can someone provide an example of how this would work . Many thanks

Bet 20 @ 5/1. If you win you get 100 quid. If it was your actual cash youd get 100 winnings plus 20 stake back, which would be 120 quid.
If you have free bet don't bet an anything evens or less with it

say have 50 free bet
put 25 ew on 4/1 shot (1/4 the odds)
Finishes second
Get back £50 - less £50 staked = nil return.
