I note that Ruby is not riding today or tomorrow and has not taken a ride since March 6. So it will be 9 days off by Tuesday. Is he playing safe to ensure he is fit for the Festival or is there any other reason? Even 9 days off could leave him just short of his best.

I assume just playing it safe.

If you saw Bryan Cooper's fall and then getting trampled on at Limerick yesterday, then it makes sense, rather than risk missing the biggest week of the year for egg and spoon races.

Walsh has missed the Grand National and Gold Cup in recent years because of horiffic falls on Celestial Halo and Abbyssial, so I can understand him wanting to get there 100%.

nina carberry rides the jolly in the fox hunters, Pendleton rides pacha du polder and maxwell who in my opinion is the worst jockey I've seen rides the second in! Shut your eyes if you've backed any of them two! Hope the ambulance is following maxwell round the course... Totally off the ruby Walsh subject as the blokes a genius

I assumed that he was just playing safe but wondered if I was missing something. Still think it is a slight negative.
