NTD put up this horse as his best handicap chance in the Racing Post.
Never been raced in Britain but due to run in the Fred Winter. Same ownership as Bristol de Mai who bolted up on his British debut in a grade 1 at Chepstow. Been going well on gallops apparently.
If you bet on it make sure you get non runner no bet as may not get in race as unknown handicap mark. 25/1 best price.
Most of his French form doesn't appear on the Post website, as he ran three times at Cagnes Sur Mer in December without winning, twice over hurdles and the last of those was a chase. His French hurdle rating is 580, which will convert to 127 or 128 here, but I can't see anything in his form that suggests he's well in off that mark.
He also ran three times on the flat in France (Post only have the last of those runs), all in moderate maidens and those runs earned him a flat rating equivalent 62 UK.
There must be a reason why Munir purchased him, but it isn't obvious from what's in the public domain.

how can the handicapper gauge that french form, should be made to at least run once in britain or ireland before being allowed to qualify for h'caps over hear.

Aux Ptits Soins won the Coral Cup last year on British debut, and there's mention on another thread of Nicholls having another one to unleash this year (Diego Du Charmil - Fred Winter)

Given a nice low weight. Do we think it will get in the race? I see the owners have a few entered. Could it be another Bristol de Mai- NTD is very bulish.

NTD also said prior to Cheltenham 2015 live on Channel 4 that The New One would track Faugheen in the Champion Hurdle and do him for speed up the hill as he had the better turn of foot. Need I say more.
