So many so called bankers have gone in in recent years how many do we honestly think will go in this? I've just been watching a load of races from 1999 to 2005 and the one thing that's stuck with me is the amount that git beat.
There is the year that broke the record for the number of favs that won and then there's the year (azertyuiops champ chs year) where almost every banker got turned over.
My fear is with these seemingly coming in stages, are we not due a fez that provides us with many so called bankers getting beat? I think we could be accused of over building up of the likes of douvan min faugheen etc and we just could be climbing our ways to an inevitable very high fall?

Cos they have all seemed to have been winning recent years that's why I said it. Everyone bigging up douvan min etc, u big one up so much it'll ruin yer week if it's beat cos it'll stick in the subconscious lol

Another point of note, the best horse doesn't always win in the crucible of Cheltenham racing where every cell in the horses body is tested (never forgive a bad run LTO).
I have found at the odds that youth have the beating over the old guard. I guess it's quite comforting to see something with proven form (paralysis by over analysis) over the upstart. Take the leap of faith! the 5/1+ winners will flow!! PS Some horses simply ain't suited to the track either and come to the races with all sorts of past excuses (Conti and Beef or Salmon are perfect examples), avoid them at all costs. |
