Bit of a price, so i don't know what the plan is whether they want to pull a fast one to get his mark down or whatever, or wait until Aintree. Either way he's there at 25/1, and higher on here. Far from getting carried away, but a small interest will do. With Faugheen out i think the trainer should chuck the whole lot of them in there.

Well Hargam did got a fair bit closer to Faugheen than NC and AF did.
Of course one cannot go strictly on that,but it does show that Hargam has his chance. |

Managed to get rid of my Hargam bet; never thought I'd see that money back, so a small positive that Faugheen is out.
Reinvested it in Top Notch at 25's NRNB. I definitely think the Triumph form last year isn't as good as we first thought, but Top Notch has now gone clear of Hargam and Peace and Co in my opinion. Looking through the recent winners of the Champion Hurdle, Rock on Ruby and Sublimity were the ony two in the last 10 years who had never won a Grade 1; so that would be a negative for Top Notch and Hargam; although RoR and TN came within a neck of winning one beforehand though. I just think Hargam probably hasn't got the class needed to win a Champion Hurdle; even without Faugheen I don't think this is a poor crop, it's got some good unexposed horses in. |

If the "official" going is the standard good/soft (good at all other tracks any other time of the year) then I think Hargam will be the best of last years Triumph bunch. I think his Christmas Hurdle run is the best on offer of the 5 year olds. If Geraghty chose him I'd give him an EW squeak in a bad year.

Nicky-H said earlier Tent and Peace n Co are first string, TN and Hargam second. Obviously we know what ground the second string prefer, so we just have to wait. My hope lies with the first string having a 2nd class prep because of setbacks etc, whie to this point the second string have had a more preferable kind of first class prep. It's all a waiting game. We could rattle on all season about any horse, then the ground turns out wrong for them.
