Yes, yes, yes...

I might as well stand in front of one & I'll get "you're one crazy fool!" Crazy for what I'm about to say...

...but... isn't there just a chance that this 2016 Willie Mullins Battalion is a total load of hype without substance??!

1) Min hasn't exactly between class horses and the Irish Novice Hurdling division's other so called star has proven to be anything but consistent, useless last time out actually (Ivanovich Gorbatov). The Irish Novice form could be total crap!! We've seen this endless times before with so called good things i.e. Sweet Wake, everything in a McManus Shirt, Harcon, Dunguib all failing miserably etc. etc.

2) Djakadam - never won at Cheltenham, fell twice is his most consistent stat, and couldn't stay up the hill last year against a not exactly vintage Gold Cup winner. 2nd/3rd Fav for Gold Cup? Really???

3) Vautour, awesome up to 2m 4f but couldn't stay on a flat track to beat Cue Card. How can it up a hill against this battalion, there's some serious fire power and proven distance horses this year in this Gold Cup (you need to stay at full speed 3m 4f / 3m 5f to win a GC at Chelts).

4) Faugheen - Out - really sad as he was their No 1 and would have won

5) Annie Power - Never won at Cheltenham in Graded Company. Fell last year, & not good enough in the World Hurdle. She only won an egg and cup race (Class 2 against 2 other runners) & that's it. I'm sick of this "she'd have won last year". Well, we don't know that. Also, miracles do happen at Cheltenham, they do get caught on the line and Glen's Melody and Polly Peacham stayed on right to the line. If you don't believe me re miracles, here's a couple to enjoy: 1) What's Up Boys, Coral Cup, 2000 & 2) Anzum, Stayer's Hurdle, 1999 - watch those!

6) Douvan - yep, can't argue with the quality. Arkle's are arguably the hardest to win and the easiest to fall in. Incredible speed by Novices.  Nothing is a certain but I accept this horse is No 1 now for WM.

7) Limini - it's won 2 Egg and Spoon races. Unfortunately it's running in one here!

Right, there you are, NO, I've not been drinking, I am of sound mind.

I'll put the white piece of paper on my chest, stand by the wall and await the bullets GrinMischief

Everyone assesses form in different ways and has their own opinion. Mins form in Ireland is bombproof. Take guerteen he beat that horse by 12 lengths and that's won since against my mates horse who
Is rated very highly by Gordon Elliott. Douvan has looked good over his fences and in all honesty everyone knows the division isn't strong but he has looked well above average. Annie power has looked smooth in winning its races and can only beat what's infront of it, limini is the best novice mare about by a county mile and vroum vroom mag is very very well thought of and will win the mares race on the bridle. Pretty obvious presumption but after what happened to faugheen you have to brighten yourself up with the positives
