Absolutely infuriating. I don't have a problem with targets, and opinions on a horse's best trip/ground changing as the season progresses (especially novices). But, I cant see what benefit there is for anyone in stating one thing one minute, and something completely different when nothing has altered in the meantime (or in fact the very thing that would encourage one course of action actually happens).
This classic from Kerry Lee -
Yesterday - ""If he were to win on Saturday then we would have to go for the Ryanair Chase, but if not a trip to Aintree would be likely. I think the track would suit him there."
Today - ".......I wouldn't be mad for the Ryanair, because of trip and ground, but I wouldn't rule it out,"
Obviously not the only perpetrator, as we are going through the usual Mullins/Ricci stuff with AP and VVM.
Oh aye,and i did back Top Gamble for the Ryanair pre-race, so my pocket is very much talking, but it's infuriating.
The3 market on DB spoke more for DB's chances than Nichols words although I have to say Nichols is far from the worst culprit when it comes to making misleading comments about his horses. Reading the Kerry Lee comments they are ridiculous and it appears as though she has performed a 180c turn from her pre race comments (and I have no interest in Top Gamble whatsoever).
