Couldn't see a thread on this race (apologies if there is one). Backing antepost for these races before the declarations is a often a road to the poor house. You cannot be 100% sure they will run and you do not get the concessions you do on race day (double result, 5 places, etc).
There is a horse I quite like that is a likely runner in this (according to trainer on ATR).
Lily Waugh was always rated by connections, I remember it running well in the EBF final at Newbury as a novice. It then had a largely disappointing period chasing before reverting to hurdles again this season. However something has just clicked with her this year and she has gone from strength to strength. she is now rated 140 but I think there is more to come.
She ran a cracker yesterday over an inadequate trip and was running on at the end and would of won with another couple of furlongs.
There are also a lot of other positives. She can handle any ground, She has won very well over course and distance on the new course. Is ridden regularly by a conditional, who knows the horse very well.
She is even a full sister to last years winner (Killutagh Vic).
She was not in any lists so I requested her to be put in the market. However on the sportsbook they have put her in at a very stingy 20/1, Was hoping for 33/1.
In a race that may on the day be 10/1 the field, it is not a very attractive price, especially with the risk that she may go the mares hurdle route.
Anyway, just some early thoughts and I am sure the interest in this thread will pick up when the first declarations are out.

Just look at giggingstown horses. They tend to target the race. 2 winners and 4 placed since raced started 7 years ago. They tend to get backed though and also will have loads in the decs so it makes life difficult working out which is the one.
