Not a fav backer ante-post (or on the day tbh) but agree 9/2 is very fair and won't be there on the day. How many Hunters do the spring treble? Almost unheard of I'd imagine. There was even Gold cup talk at one stage. He bolted up at Cheltenham and Aintree and, as long as doing the three last season hasn't taken it's toll, some sort of repeat looks very likely.

By:
A little more likely now as Willie Mullins has announced that Prince De Beauchene has been retired

Thanks for that delsie, a shame for pdb and disko backers. I was on the former at huge odds. Anyway glad I backed on the fringe at 9/2 with hindsight wish I gone in on marito ew also but but I decided to put more on. On the fringe

This fella is going to be a history maker, he will carry the first ever woman round to win the grand national!

As long as he runs that's cracking value. Hosed up last year when I was on paint the clouds and 3 out thought I was on a winner, 2 out it was all over. On the fringe absolutely hosed up.

Just logged in my tote account to back marito (as they were biggest price) that I haven't used for over a year and had a £20 free bet available. No idea why I got that. But put that on instead

Good to see de bromhead saying on the fringe is on target for cheltenham, set to run next sat and said he expects he will come on plenty for the run.
By:
thought bolger trained on the fringe??
By:
He does

Apologise enda bolger on atr. Always get them mixed up
By:
Also said josies orders and quantititive easing set for a warm up over hurdles before cheltenham and both are fine.
By:
Didn't hear him mention Quant - what did he say scoob?
By:
Just said he's fine and will run in same hurdle race as josies orders then onto the cross country. Must admit I asumed something might be wrong with the horse before he spoke of him.

Poor run yesterday
By:
As he said will come on plenty for the run, look at his form last year before the foxhunters. And appreciating the fact he's back at a backable price
By:
Pipe opener. Never really put into the race and not knocked about. Trainers orders I would guess.
By:
Hopefully Nina back on board as well.

Didn't realise Marito was in the Fox Hunters; he was half decent in his day for Willie Mullins. Not very often something gets to within a length of Hurricane Fly and ends up in the Fox Hunters anyway!

By:
Yep backed Marito a/p for Ryanair 2 years didnt make it.

I've backed Mendip Express 8/1. Course winner and rated still 146. Sent off Fav for 2014 Scottish National and 2nd in 2014 Becher Chase. Got to say I'm not mad keen on the Owner/Jockey even though he rode him to his comeback win. Entered for the Grand National so they must believe the ability is still there.
On The Fringe with Nina on is bound to be dangerous though. |

Backed Paint the Clouds last year rain ficked up his chances still ran ok.

Was interested in Marito - didn't see he got turned over in a point on Sunday at 2/5.
By:
Salsify will miss the race due to the qualifying process.

I'll be amazed if Mendip Express wins this with Dave Maxwell on board. I'm on at 8/1 but wouldn't take 33/1 now with him taking the ride. Can only hope he thinks better of it.

Well done nine and enda bolger
