Away from the incredibly attractive Min 50/1 tickets, Mullins multiples and no doubt a correct tricast in the coral cup which Gary from Rochdale has been having his £10 a week on. What horrors have we all had this year where betslips have already been used as kindling?

- Beast of Burden (RSA) 16/1
- Value At Risk (JLT) 20/1 {Has successfully jumped 2 fences this season}
- Milsean (4 miler) 12/1 {Yet to even jump a fence}
- Modus 12/1 (Supreme)

Value At Risk - RSA
Coneygree - Gold Cup

These 2 are def not happening.

Bellshill - Albert Bartlett - doesn't seem like an option
L'Ami Serge - Arkle - not good enough methinks
Milsean - 4miler - as mentioned previously

I still have limited hope for Roi Des Francs at filthy e/w prices for the RSA - but doesn't look good

Yanworth - Supreme Sad

Having come very close to backing him for the Neptune at 20/1, I was swayed by Alan King saying he'd become speedier and was now a more likely type for the Supreme. Cheers Al Angry

Touch wood (as he knocks his head), this is the fewest non runner antepost bets I've had in a while, but largely stayed clear of the novice hurdles.

Non runners - Apache Stronghold (Ryanair) and Nichols Canyon (World Hurdle)
Refund wanted - Hargam (Champion Hurdle), Peace and Co (Champion Hurdle), Wait for Me (Supreme and Any Race).

Killultagh Vic World Hurdle at 25s and big prices on here. Managed to convince myself he was staying over hurdles.

I'm also on "to win any race" at reasonable prices but that should have been the initial bet!

Un Temps Pour Tout (RSA)
Cue Card (Ryanair)
Wait For Me (Neptune)

Chief, any idea where we're going to see Wait For Me next? You'd think he's going to pop up somewhere soon but they'll have needed all the time he's been off to give him intensive schooling!

Apache Stronghold (Gold Cup), but that was only a few quid at huge odds so not too much damage at this stage

He's entered in a 2m novice hurdle next week at Kempton mate.

You're right in that I hope be has jumped loads at home because he needs to step up a fair bit. Took a punt a while ago that he could transfer his bumper form over hurdles, but yet to do it....but you never know!!!

Thanks chief, that first hurdle run was a bit of a shock to the system, haven't totally given up on him yet though.

Yeah mate, I was 50/50 over Supreme and Neptune before the season but its looking more like Supreme if he does line up (based on his entries anyway). I'm sure he's got an engine, and his race at Kempton is a Class 5, so if he doesn't hammer them he might not as well turn up!

Bellshill 20-1 for Albert Bartlett and Killiltaugh Vic at 20-1 for RSA.
How shattered will I be when they scoot up in the wrong races for me.
Add Top Notch for the World Hurdle. A truly laughable effort.

Backed Jezki for the World Hurdle before he beat The Fly over 3 miles, after winning he was instantly chopped into 12's and backed into 7's only for the unfortunate news to break not long after that he was out for the season! Absolutely gutted from a punters point of view but also from a fans point of view. Would have loved to have seen him line up in the World Hurdle this year, for me he would have been the one they all had to beat. Never mind!

Others include Bellshill - Albert Bartlett, Coneygree - Gold Cup and Moon Racer - Supreme and Neptune!

last summer before every1 seemed to know it was flying up the gallop[s at wi;;ies.. it was 10s top with laddies early november before it has run in ire.. powers laid 14s after its debut in december for about a week, but no1 else was double figs at time.

I never saw it. That's not to say it wasn't, but I was waiting to back it and watching the markets through the autumn.
First poke I saw was 25-1.
I missed that due to over-caution (caused by last year's Allez Colombieres hit), but took 20s when the blue boxes starting appearing.
If you got 50-1, well done. Great work.
I was either too slow or not smart/quick enough to see 50.

I had £60 on Shaneshill to win at an average price of 12/1 on the Exchange for the Neptune last season but its trainer decided to swap it with Nichols Canyon (NC) instead; Shaneshill finished 2nd to Douvan in the Supreme and NC finished 3rd in the Neptune.

Gravy - the 50/1 Min was available as follows:

Bet£3.65: From 6th July, cut to 25/1 on the 13th August
Victors: From 11th August, cut to 33/1 on the 15th August
SJ: From 30th July, cut to 40/1 on the 14th August (then cut to 25/1 on the 18th)

Somebody on Twitter was flashing a 100/1 slip on Min, but there's no sign of him ever having been 100/1 on Oddschecker's history so pretty sure that was a fishing attempt.

Cheers Joist.
One things for sure, I'm not going to get rich being so dozy that I didn't see it!
In fairness, I wouldn't have taken it for reasons earlier explained.
But not spotting it is rank amateur behaviour by me

Im sure like many i had Moonracer and Killultagh RSA in quite a few bets early on at least jumped to JLT and got some decent value that was luck rather than judgement got my cards marked

Like gravy and moat, I was also on Killultagh Vic for the RSA (33/1) Not totally given up on a last minute change of plan but it certainly looks like the JLT

My antepost book has taken a pounding in the last two weeks:

Bellshill stuffed and probably will not run in the Neptune now
Tombstone beaten by the Mullins second string
Peace and Co won't win a CH if he started now
Killultagh Vic now out injured
Sound Investment now out injured
L'Ami Serge stuffed and will either not run in/will not win the Arkle

All in all, I've had a better couple of weeks in the past.

Cheers mate :)

At the prices I've got, realistically I need No More Heroes, Black Hercules (4 miler), UDS and Faugheen to win to break even.  Nice odds on RTR for the Ryanair, so if those 5 win, I'll be in a nice profit, so not all lost yet.

Certainly not as confident now anyway, although I haven't written off Tombstone yet.
