Maeduin I think your thinking in the right direction . Look at the second horse in Blue Hells race he's being trained for one thing

Thanks for the heads up Quevega but i'm not looking past the winner in that race.
![]() The Scourge of the Irish (Phil Smith) already assessed Blue Hell @ 141. Not what i thought but could be worse i guess. |

Impressed with DK today. Is the County definitely the target? Thought he looked a likely type for the MARTIN Pipe after that?

Actually just seen that GE said this:
After race at Punchestown Sat, 9th Jan, 2016 (1st) He's a grand horse, and I think better ground will suit him better. That could be him until Cheltenham. Noble Endeavor won this last year, and the Martin Pipe race is the plan I have in mind for this horse,. We'll have to keep Jack for that (Martin Pipe race at Cheltenham). Gordon Elliott Not even in the betting for the race though. |

Maelduin - Blue Hell looking a great shout at 25s, I've joined in at 16 today. Form of his win working out so well and unusually for a handicap race we're pretty sure about the target. 16/1 still very fair imo about a likely favourite or joint favourite on the day.

I've requested a price for the Martin Pipe from PP before today's race still waiting on a reply . Hope he stays away from Blue Hell had a few pound on him Maelduin after speaking to you I looked into it he's put away until the festival after his last race . Must have a stone in hand.

GE confirmed Martin Pipe is the target , I thought the Pipe race would be easier to win with him . Seems a big strapping type so big weight won't be a negative .

GE can forget the pipe race after that, Phil Smith put him on 144 and will now go up even more! The pipe race only allows a top weight of 145 if I remember rightly. He will even carry a lot of weight in the Coral Cup

The guy who mentioned Blue Hell to me last season is absolutely buzzing about him. Again the 141 mark was certainly not lenient but if we don't see him again before Cheltenham that says it all. Could easily have run him in the new Coral.ie hurdle off that much easy 134 Irish mark. O'Connell has targeted races like that before with well handicapped sorts. "GE can forget the pipe race after that, Phil Smith put him on 144 and will now go up even more!" Definitely. Not sure what their thinking was running him yesterday if they had the MP in mind or even the Coral Cup for that matter. |

5lb claimer on board yesterday will hopefully hold the handicapper back somewhat. Fingers crossed.
