So many of the Mullins horses have gone in over the last few weeks - many in decent races, including Grade 1's. But how fit are they at this stage?

I know it's a frightening thought, but Bellshill didn't look anywhere near concert pitch today and yet absolutely sluiced up. Kitten Rock was said to look fit to run for its life but was tonked by a burly looking Shaneshill and Min was described as 75% when destroying a subsequent easy winner by 14 lengths. Vautour still looked nothing like the athlete he looked at Cheltenham last year and very nearly won a King George!

If these horses are running into form - what could they be like in March?

Ricci openly said last year that all his horses with Mullins were all being trained for 1 day in March and 1 day only. Given how well that went, I should imagine that they will take that approach this year again. Wylie's big guns seem to be running more than Ricci's at the moment, so wouldn't question their fitness either. Mullins trains for 1 reason, Cheltenham winners
