Backed him straight after the race for he Arkle. Just worried they see the JLT as the easier option.

Absolute egg & spoon race.

Correct delsie.
But a sound win showing he can jump a fence and proving his well being after his operation and a chest infection.
his wins over hurdles last season. And the form with shaneshill and sizing john winning there novices all result in cutting him to 10/1.
I don't think that's unreasonable at all.

Did they say what the aim is regarding cheltenham???   Dont think they'll be in a hurry to take on Douvan again.

I think he could do with another couple of runs between now and the Arkle. Formidable task taking on Douvan with what was basically a public schooling session on almost unraceable ground.

12's is a fair ew price, but it can't be good he's starting the season this late, and all today did was blow a few cobwebs away without getting too much experience into him.

He said the target is the Arkle before and after the race. And talked a bit about having to take on douvan again

Yeah don't have any doubt that the Arkle will be his race.

Vaniteux ran over 20f over hurdles twice and ran in PTP's, socif they were tocsplit them, I'd fancy they'd up him. L'Ami Serge's owners also have Bristol de Mai in the equation too though.

Bristol de mais connections have already said he goes jlt.
Wouldn't be one that I'd be afraid of anyway.

They'll probably run Top Notch as well - they run him in everything else!!

Bristol de mai

"It was nice that he settled and gave himself the chance of staying, I think we've found his perfect trip now. Unless it's very soft I see no point in going back to two miles.

"The Scilly Isles at Sandown would look the obvious next race for him and the JLT would look the one at Cheltenham."

vyta du roc could be a jlt horse too

Another clear round of jumping fiddled a few got in close to one all part of the education ..... Not really learned. Great deal we know jumps fine ...question is can he or Douvan jump at real speed better ground & the Cheltenham Fez pace will be a different ball game for these novices
