!He's a smashing horse in every respect: he has a great attitude, he jumps very well at home and he's really tough. Put up a fantastic performance to win a hot bumper at Ascot first time and it was an equally amazing effort to run so well in the Champion Bumper, behind two horses with greater experience. Richard Johnson says he has rarely travelled so well for so long on a horse round Cheltenham. Being blessed with a smart turn of foot, 2m should suit over hurdles. He's nearly ready to go, although we haven't formed any plan yet. There was a slight issue with his breathing last season so we had his palate cauterized a month ago. If all goes well you'd like to think he can end up in the Supreme Novices at the festival. I thought the only problem with him might be being nominated as the trainers Stable Tour horse to follow, but I've not been asked for one this season so he's avoided being given the dreaded curse!"

Cheers mate - heard he was leaning towards 2m but didn't see any quotes
I've mentioned on a few threads on here that I really like this fella, and followed him very closely in the bumper. Turning for home I thought he looked like the winner, but the other two more experienced ones got the better of him. He looks so effortless when he is running. I was the one who contacted PP for a price in the "Win any race" market, but they only offered 10's, which I think is a touch short. He's one I'll be keeping an eye on that's for sure. |

Wow,that's some help mate,thanks very much,really appreciated
Don't surprise me Johnson saying that, when I watched the bumper at Cheltenham I was getting rather excited at the way he was travelling, and they looked a tad disappointed after the race. I think they think a lot of this one. So do I back him before he's jumped a hurdle in public? Have a feeling I will. |

25's available,I think that's more than fair chaps, that will do me.

Same here.

For a horse that finished a decent 3rd in the bumper it's a fair price, there are 4 ahead of him in the betting trained by Mullins as well. The price will only get shorter as the season progresses if all goes to plan. I thought the wind op they gave him is very notable.
It's a little bit early in the season for me for this race, I also think Moon Racer could be something special, if the Pipes don't c0ck it up. |

yeh,it's very early mate, and rather unusual for me to be going in,but I really think that price just has to be taken.....not going too mad though!!

Supreme could be very hot this year, think yanworth gonna go that way too, moon racer, min, wait for me and whatever else mullins has !

Just sellotaped my betting slip back together, much better today I thought.
Still has to improve at the hurdles for sure but that was a lot more encouraging. All not lost yet. |

Its real price for Cheltenham is 1000/1, because if that wins at the festival then its time to give up the game for ever.
By:
Yeh,no doubt that has been said about past festival winners at times.
Not saying he gonna win the race,im saying I still have a chance that I thought had gone. Ive seen a few strange things from novices during a season and then seen them win later in the season. Menorah springs to mind not so long ago. Horses that show improvement from race to race, that I like. Just never know where that improvement will take him. |

Wishfull Thinking , 2010 appalling at Wincanton , cudnt jump to save its life , handed race when something fell , said I would never back it again . 2nd at the Festival , Won at Aintree and Punchestown .

Just not good enough I'm afraid :(
By:
For me it's too early to say that. He's still young and learning, and doesn't look overly happy on soft ground. A return to better ground will tell us more.
By:
Hope you are right Mac!!
By:
It's not too early to say that if you are talking in terms of the supreme!!
By:
Backed it start of season, got no chance imo cannot jump.
By:
Huge engine - but truly a diabolical jumper!

Certainly not a natural hurdler. The quicker he goes chasing the better, but hope he's well schooled.
