Thinking of going to Tenerife next March but would like to hear from anyone who has been before. Are there plenty of places to watch the racing, get bets on, wifi, climate? Thanks in advance
There was talk about pubs taking bets getting into serious trouble last year when we were there, even so there was one pub in Los cristianos doing very well.

I was there last september for st leger day, tried to find a bar/bookies showing the racing in Americas to get a bet on kingston hill, you would think there would be loads ?, there was nothing doing, apparently gambling is ilegal in the canary islands and the police have shut them all down.
unless things have changed this year ?

I've booked a villa in Adeje for Cheltenham week next year, and there are a few of us going out for a week.
Wasn't sure if there would be bookies, but good to know that there are a few in the area.
We're all taking laptops anyway, but no doubt will do a bit while we're in the bars, too.

We go to Tenerife every June (Royal Ascot) week. Used to use the Highlander Bar on route to Los Cristianos but last visit we used to go to the Sporting Jester (opposite Parque Santiago 2) in Las Americas. All live racing (day and night), takes bet on all sports.
Weather should be fine, enjoy. Also well worth booking a round of golf, well worth it, if that is your thing. some decent courses with full club hire at reasonable prices (compared to Portugal).

Cheers chaps, we'll give those bars a look one of the days that the festival is on.
The other lads might fancy a spin on the golf course, but I'm only fit for driving a buggy :)
It's mostly just a lazy week lounging around by the pool, and watching the racing. Hence a villa, rather than plotting up right in the middle of the action.
