Nicky Richards talks up this horse like its the second coming or Arkle. I didn't know whether to be disappointed or impressed with the performance in what looked to be a weak grade 1 at the festival?

Thought the horse ran a solid enough race in by far the toughest contest of it's career, and at least got involved unlike a few others, Balder Succes, Taquin Du Seuil etc. Think it's next run will be crucial, probably the Aintree Chase, as to telling usif this horse can be competitive at the top table.

Wasn't an extremely fast time though?

Missed a word out there that completely changed the intended meaning of my post:

Wasn't *it an extremely fast time though?

didnt jump the best ,give the outside to nobody, what have liked to see it ridden to match the stables high opinion, thought it was given a safey, safey type of ride

Given a 'i dont ride cheltenham often' type of ride, i backed it ew as i thought it was a decent price. Shame it was so wide and a small mistake at the last didnt help.

From what I saw on here prior to the race , it hadnt been the smoothest of preparations , the 2m5f on an undulating track wasnt the absolute ideal , and though he had the ground in his favour, and going the right way round , perhaps the outcome was as good as could be expected . I was on after his Huntingdon run at a big price and wasnt that disappointed , better to come at Aintree perhaps.
