to be fair, he hasn't had many real chances, only L'Ami Serge and it would have been close if it had jumped better, also Vyta Du Roc would have finished close but for a blunder at the last, saving himself for Peace & Co on friday. cheers.

Most of those with top chances ran good races with excuses for some of the others. Its a meeting where you can knock on the door every day and nobody answers. It really is the one meeting where the adage that if you just have one winner is actually true. Unless you're Mullins this year. Hendo's haven't had much luck thus far.

Henderson novice hurdlers have been running well on the whole all season but the chasers are awful. Just 6 novice chase wins by 6 different horses since August. No handicap chases, just 2 handicap hurdles and no condition or grade races. Clearly only horses that have arrived at Seven Barrows this season are winning-the older ones are not. How anyone could have considered backing Sprinter Sacre is beyond me-and that is not aftertiming because I have been saying it for a month.

Henderson was not positive about his week when interviewed on C4 yesterday.  He almost went as far as saying that he wouldn't have a winner until the Triumph on Friday, so obviously fancies the chances of Peace and Co.  That may well drift a bit yet given the stable form.

I think that'll win and a double with something in the last maybe.
