Phil smith the official BHA handicapper had a few interesting things to say.

Refused to give Vive Le France trained my A J Martin a handicap mark for Cheltenham after it's three Irish runs as he felt it was three non tries.

Cogree in the 4 miler will run better than its price.

Djakadam and Road To Riches he expects to improve their marks by the end of the season so are the two to concentrate from the up and coming horses in the Gold Cup. He can see no reason why Coneygree would go for the Gold Cup. novices should stick to novices,

Edeyemi in the handicaps he could not have given it a higher mark based on what it had done but probably has not shown its true ability yet.

Aux Ptit Sions is handicapped based on its French mark. He would have preferred to see it run again to give it a mark but had to give it a mark as it won last March and is not a novice.
