Panel was Jim McGrath, Nial Hannity, Sean Quinn and a StarSports Rep.
Supreme - Jim says when he was in Ireland last week the Irish wouldn't here of defeat for Douvan. He says Timeform have Lami Serge 1lb ahead of Douvan and actually had it 8lb ahead but gave Douvan 7lb as he won his last race easily. He thinks Lami Serge is actually overpriced. Qewy mentioned as EW alt and Alvisio Ville they think is better than Jollyallan.
Arkle - all went for UDS but couldn't back at the price.
Champ Hurdle - All Faugheen but The New One has a chance. The rest playing for 3rd.
Neptune - Jim liked Nichols Canyon and thought it was still a good price, but not much confidence in Ireland behind it. Nial Keen on Ordo Ab Chao. Those 2 were both put up as their charity bets. Beast of Burden was spoken highly of and apparently best horse Rebecca Curtis has had including At Fishers Cross. Outlander also given a good mention.
RSA - This was confused as Coneygree participation in doubt, but split between that and Don Poli.
QMCC - Very divided and no panellist liked Sprinter Sacre. Nial put up Johns Spirit 33/1 NRNB as loves the course and with doubts about the principals. Jim backed this up. Owner wants JS in this race not Ryanair but not decided yet.
JLT - Not much enthusiasm for this race but would take Vautour on at the price.
Ryanair - Again not much enthusiasm and Don Cossack too short now. Probably most interest in Balder Succes even though they appreciate course worry. Johns Spirit if it ran was Nials pick.
World Hurdle - very mixed picks in a wide open race and no strong opinion. Jim likes Jetson at a price, but says not a great renewal if it won.
Triumph - All said Peace & Co Doncaster run was best run of the season but think Hargam could be hardiest on decent going and was generally the pick. Beltor they thought was more for Liverpool. Jim said Irish were not at all confident and Bryan Copper (Petite Parisienne) thought they would be lucky to place.
A.Bartlett - Graham Wylie is said to have decided Black Hercules is his best Novice and goes for this. Nichols Canyon will run in Neptune and Shaneshill Supreme. They thought Value At Risk was best of the home team and Martello Tower and Thomas Brown got good mentions. A question was asked about Snow Falcon at a big price and they said it kept getting mentioned at previews and was an EW shout from last years winning trainer.
Gold Cup - Jim wasn't convinced about Silviniaco as he thought his form was based against non stayers. All thought it was incredibly open. Nial has had only 1 Ante Post bet this season and it is on Djakadm, but placed it last summer.
Other races - Supasundae has really taken Jims eye, but Bellshill was Seans Charity bet. Jim likes What A Warrior in the day 1 3m Hcp if ground is not soft.
National day is too busy but the first 2 days are great. Highly recommended. I love the festival but it's just too busy now and 4 days with the lads in the pub, bookies next door and all the offers is spot on. To be honest Thursday and Friday in the pub is really busy these days. Massive event. Can't wait.

Doing Tuesday Wednesday this year, first stopover (and possibly last) for a good while. GC Friday is horrific and agree, afternoon with like-minded folk, a few ales, big screens etc. I assume you are up Wetherby way? which pub out of interest?
